Are all straight lines the same?

Straight lines are use to illustrate the linear relationship between TWO variables / unknowns.

We have also been creating straight lines using Geo-Gebra.

How do we
differentiate one straight line from another?

What are some of the properties that will cause one straight line to be
different from another.

  1. We can differentiate the line by looking at the angle of which the line is. The properties that will cause one straight line to be different from another is that they are connected by different points.

  3. The angle of the line, the points it goes through

  4. The points that it passes through, the gradient, the direction of the line

  5. We could differentiate them by looking for the two points that they are connected to.

  6. The points which they are connected to is different. The angle of the lines from a reference point can be used to differentiate them.

  7. The points and coordinate that the straight line passes through will be different.

  8. direction in which the line is facing at.

the type of objects in which the line connects

the number objects in which the straight line connects

the position in which they are started

    the length of the line?????

  9. Angle between the line and an imaginary line.

  10. We can differentiate one straight line from another as different lines passes through different points.

  11. We can differentiate the lines by their length, the points they start from and end with and the its angle form either the x or y axis.

  12. The points are connected at different angles.

  13. We can differentiate them by looking at the points whereby they pass through. We can also differentiate them by looking at the angle of which they are formed

  15. the angle of the line, to add on to my previous post

  16. The points that the line connects, the direction of the line and the angle at which the lines intercept the points and other lines.

  17. Any 2 straight lines will never point in the same direction unless the coordinates are the same or are on the same diagonal axis.

  18. The point that the line passes through is different from one another. Hence, we can use that to differentiate the lines.

  19. Follow the intersection between the lines?

  20. They can be differentiated by the angle of the line as they are usually different. The point of intersection on each line will also differentiate the line from another.

  21. Some of the properties :
    1. The angle in which the straight line is set.
    2. How the straight line is drawn as in where the 2 points are.

  22. The straight lines are all the same but they start from different points from different coordinates. Since each of the points are on different locations, they are unique and are given letter names. (A,B,C,D) Therefore, we can differentiate and recognize the different lines through naming the points. For example, if we know that point A is on x,y and point B is on a,b, then we can easily recognize the line and its location from the line AB instead of the original coordinates.
